What this site collects

If you join the Python Prediction Letter, the form collects your email address, an optional first name, and your optional Book 2 research interest. Kit also records subscription status and may record the page or campaign that referred you.

When the PDF download succeeds, this site increments an aggregate count by UTC day and campaign source. The application does not put your name, email address, IP address, or full user agent in that download-count database. Hosting and email providers may process technical request data under their own policies.

If you allow analytics, Microsoft Clarity records pseudonymous interaction data such as page views, clicks, scrolling, device details, heatmaps, and session replays. Form fields and email addresses are masked from Clarity.

Why it is used

Newsletter information is used only to send the Python Prediction Letter, deliver its learning sequence, answer reader requests, and— when you choose the separate option—invite you to Book 2 research. Aggregate download information is used to understand which free lessons and partnerships help readers find the book. Clarity data is used to find confusing or unhelpful parts of the reading experience and improve the site.

Your choice and retention

The PDF is available without newsletter signup. Newsletter processing is based on your consent. You can withdraw that consent using the unsubscribe link in any email. Subscriber records are retained while you remain subscribed and as needed to honor suppression or legal obligations.

Clarity analytics is optional and runs only after you allow it. You can change your choice at any time. Declining analytics does not affect the free PDF or newsletter form.

Providers and contact

Kit provides subscription and email delivery. Cloudflare provides site hosting and aggregate download storage. Microsoft provides Clarity analytics when you allow it. See the providers' privacy policy and privacy policy, and Microsoft's privacy statement.
